Willards Creek is a special
place. I was in the 4th grade when my mother took me and three
of my brothers down to the creek to teach us how to fish for
trout. She sat me on one side of
the road, baited my hook and dropped in my line. She handed me
the pole and walked
across the road to help my brothers who were waiting on the other
side. Before she was half
way across the road, I felt a tug on my line and let out a yell.
She yelled to me to pull back
on the rod and set the hook. I did and I caught my first trout
and became addicted. I would
spend most of my free time on that creek, catching my breakfast
in the morning if that's
what I wanted to eat or for lunch or dinner. I've loved to fish
since that day. I will have
stories about those days and tell you about the things that have
happened to Willards Creek
over the past 30 years. Hopefully you will learn to love this
place as much as I do. I've added
some stories of other fishing experiences, some fishing tips to
help new fisherman catch the
fever, chords and lyrics for those who like to sing around the
campfire on those cool, crisp
nights filled with stars, a few strange adventures in the
T-Files, and a little bit about me so
you can get to know your host. I hope you enjoy your visit and
will return for more of my
stories. Peace!
